Machining centre designed for the large production runs in window and door fabrication and in industry. The machining centre features a double mode of operation which means that it can be loaded and setup on one side, while it is working on the other side. Thanks to its 5 axes it is able to cut compound angles often required in the manufacture of curtain walls and verandas. Satellite XL is provided with a tool magazine having 10 freely configurable places where it is possible to insert drill bits, taps, blades, side milling cutters up to 300 mm and, optionally, a probe for checking the actual dimensions of the workpiece in the machine and for automatic compensation of errors. The machining sequence is optimized and the number of tool changes can be minimized depending on the automatic control. The 10 kW spindle also allows rigid tapping thanks to the controlled axis. The machining operations can be performed on all 5 faces of the workpiece and at any angle thanks to the interpolation of all the axes.
